They say a cat has nine lives. I think people do too.
I’ve been blessed with a variety of life experiences that have shaped who I am today.
15+ years in the corporate arena allowed me first hand insight into what it takes to “get by”.
Shuttling kids to where they needed to be, commuting to work, doing the work, getting home, managing home, kids, life. Nearly impossible for a person (or two or three) to do all of it well, even some of the time.
Prior to that it was college; lots of it… UCB, Stanford and St.Mary’s. Then there was paying for it.
Before college there was Cosmetology, in the 80’s, in Las Vegas…need I say more?
So once I had my second child, I started to reflect. A myriad of things flashed before my eyes…
Surviving the bubble.
Losing a friend.
Having a family.
Injuries.
Illness.
Keeping up with the rat race.
Understanding what’s important.
Remembering that life is short.
Identifying my passions.
Knowing what I’m good at.
Knowing what to stay away from.
And then… I decided to create a business that has evolved into something that I absolutely adore.
Now I help people find balance in their lives. These are the same people I sat next to in board meetings, on planes and playgrounds. In PTA meetings, hotel lobbies, business meetings and during conferences.
We were all experiencing the same thing — never enough time to “get it all done.”
So present day what brings me pleasure through the work I do?
Seeing the look on a family’s face when they realize, “it’s done; it’s all been taken care of”. I love to know when the busy travelling executive gets home, home feels like home. The fridge is stocked, the bills are paid, the kids know where there stuff is at, the house is ready to enjoy…there’s an empty piece of the pie that’s waiting to be filled… space has been created.
